Look at what I found............

    This is a shed on Helen Street in Chaffee. It appears to be a disassembled and reassembled(not in any particular order) outside braced boxcar. You can see a coonskin in pic three if you look real close.The former owner, long deceased, was Mr.Harmon a Frisco shop/? employee. Still looks pretty good! Know of any others??????

    That sucker ought to last a while. I built a steel utility shed long ago and put it on some flat car flooring. I think the shed finally rusted and fell apart, but the flooring was going strong. You could have parked your car in it.

    In the mid 1950's the Frisco either tore down or remodeled the passenger covers at the Springfield depot. My dad, an extra board switchman at the time, got enough tongue-and-groove 2 x 4's to frame a garage at our house. I still remember running them over the table saw cutting off the tongues with paint chips going everywhere. The last time I was in Springfield, about 4 years ago, the garage was still in use.
