Hi Y'all, I'm looking for the length of the Russian 2-10-0, from pilot wheel contact point, to the rear wheel sets contact point for the purpose of a turntable. Can someone please help out. No such info can be found on the internet. Thanks, Manny
Manny, The rather dashing and handsome, Bachmann 2-10-0 QA&P #1613, (had to add that ) that I have, has 2 positions on the drawbar between the Engine and tender. the closest position shows that you will need 61' 6" to clear the flangways, the longest drawbar position shows 62' 6", using your illustration. The tender-locomotive wheelbase values for the PFM Bolshevik are 62'-5" and 61-7". The tender-locomotive wheelbase on the big'n's is 60' 3-1/2".
Thanks guys. So theoretically, it should fit a 65' turntable. That's good to know because a 65' turntable is what I have.
