I should have posted this sooner but here goes. The Cannon Train Park's founder, my uncle (cousin) Bill Cannon, passed away about a month ago from cancer. If you are not familiar with it, the Cannon Train Park is a ? gauge railroad East of Chaffee, MO.(see attached pics). Bill was a retired Frisco/ bn engineer and loved his "model trains"albeit on the large scale and also raised miniature donkeys. The photos are from a family get together about two weeks before Bill passed away. That's my nephew Trevor hogging the throttle for most of the day. The family intends to keep the park open and continue to work on the train as Bill would have wished. I have no doubt you will see some Frisco stuff on the line in due time. If you are ever nearby stop in and say hi and take a ride. Tim
Tim, sorry to here about your uncle's passing. Great photos of a 15" gauge 3"/foot scale railroad. Pretty wild looking speeder!
Let me tell you Keith, that speeder looks scary even when in storage! I'm sure we could get you a lap or two around the line...........got lotsa life insurance???????LOL!!!!! Did your favorite brother make it there yet? He said he was heading out to see you.
Karl should be here at noon 8/22. I understand he is bringing a stack of train orders from the River Division, Chaffee north and south.
Tim, My condolences on Bill's passing. I had the pleasure of talking to him on a number of different occasions, he was a certainly a friendly, likeable person... I always enjoyed the visits. I was only out to the railroad once, quite a few years ago. Very nice layout, neat ride. Good to see it is still going and that the family intends to keep it. - James
