Here are some photos of the overpass bridge over Lansdowne Avenue less than a mile from the Southeast Junction, MP 7.3, on the River Division.

As the silver paint wears away, one can make out the previous lettering which reads: "SHORTEST LINE TO MEMPHIS-BIRMINGHAM-PENSACOLA" bracketed by two "FRISCO LINES" coonskins. This paint scheme was done with white lettering and coonskins on black plate girders.

More modern paining is emblazoned indicated "GET IT GOING FRISCO" with the FRISCO in a large coonskin herald. This paint scheme was done with black lettering and herald on silver plate girders.

The date impression on the south pier reads "1925".

    Photographs by Rich Lawler.

Edit 1/29/2024: Added modern lettering and paint scheme color information for original and modern lettering schemes.

The bridge is adjacent to the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 station. The station address is 7201 Lansdowne Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63119.

The station has free short and long term parking. This is on the Blue Line of the MetroLink Regional Transit System. The Blue Line provides service between this station in Missouri, through downtown St. Louis to the Fairview Heights MetroLink station in Illinois.

The Red Line provides service between Lambert Airport Terminal Number 1 in Missouri and the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station in Illinois. The Red and Blue Lines share common stations between Forest Park-DeBaliviere in Missouri and Fairview Heights in Illinois.

Edit 1/29/2024: Added bridge number, subdivision, location street address and MetroLink information.
