Kansas City Terminal Decals

Perhaps this might fit better in another forum, but given the recent difficulties at Oddball, is anyone aware of a source for HO scale Kansas City Terminal decals? I am thinking there must be any number of individuals modeling the Kansas City area, and perhaps there is a "secret source" for these decals. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Also on an unrelated note, I will be visiting the Springfield and Tulsa areas next month with a friend who is a fairly renowned (at least in O scale circles) modeler and was hoping there might be one or two layouts we might be able to visit (any scale is welcome). I know this sounds a lot like inviting myself over, but I don't know any other way to approach this.

Anyhow, thanks for help on either subject.

    Hi GS:

I'm afraid you're SOL on a source for KCT decals other than Oddballs. Tom's "oddball" (i.e. out of the norm/mainstream) roadname line of decals is why many of us rallied around him and tried to save his business by prepaying large orders.

Speaking of Tom & Oddballs, what's the news on his business?

I can turn you on to at least one layout in Claremore, OK (northeast of Tulsa)- the Claremore & Southern RR is an HO layout based on the Frisco's Cherokee Sub from Tulsa to Afton, plus some action on the MP. They meet the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM. Click the link above for contact info.

Also, there are more than a few really nice model railroads in the area. The Indian Trails Division of the NMRA has a decent website you may want to check out.

I have opened a new thread titled Decals/Dry Transfers. Several manufacturers can be found on the www.proto48.org site. Perhaps one or more can be approached regarding the addition of Frisco and KCT to their line?
