GP 7 #556, # 561 hauling empty box & autoracks to Chrysler Plant across the Meramec River at Valley Park.
Terminal RR. Picking up loaded box & autoracks at Lindenwood yard and headiing eastbound to Chouteau yard.
I can't begin to imagine how much work and how long it's taken you to get your layout to the overall stage it's at! I bow to your greatness!
In the Frisco In Color book by Louis Marre & Gregg Sommers on page 112 there is a photo ( below) that shows the dwarf signal and the searchlight signal above the cab of the second locomotive. There is also another photo on page 100.
Nice work on the 5004! Also, what's the story of the bulkhead/pulp car it's pulling? Modified Athearn?
i really do not know what brand car it is. It is not an Athearn BB. It could be a Roundhouse, the undercarriage has stamped detail such as cross reinforcement and air, brake lines, reservoir, etc. Having difficulty to upload photo.
Maybe a fine looking custom painted/weathered Tyco. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2861931593...PQ+tLG6hoQzbXYmDw4RjahDw==|tkp:Bk9SR_jE_azzZA
Tom, Mystery solved! Bought this scar at a train show for $10. a couple years ago, I could not detail load, coupler pocket, trucks, for that price. I put a little weathering on it and put it in service. Car has some heft to it, tracks well. The bottom carriage is cast metal and the body snaps to it. Wow, this car is getting all the glory and not #5004
My first thought was it was a converted Tyco car. I have a friend that uses those to represent prototype KCS pulpwood cars. I think that's a 52' car, too. But I can't remember for certain. About the #5004: Stewart/Bowser? The model itself has great proportions. (Not all F models do!) Excellent detail/paint/decal work on it. Do you recall what mfg'er made the MU hoses? Curious about the model being a Phase 3 full wire. Got to be a back story on that!
Andre, #5004 is a Stewart model F3 phase 2 Early. The MU hoses are individual plastic from either a Walthers or Detail Associates.
