Old number 97 sits patiently at the Greenbrier siding early on Saturday morning while handhewn cross ties are loaded into the tired looking outside braced boxcars by locals trying to earn some needed cash the hard way. It's 1920 and the area lumber boom is in it's twighlight and so is the the branchline that built this area. Some of the towns died a slow death with the passing of the railroad but the memory lives on. We are keeping the Frisco alive one model at a time.
Great picture! But I must say after having seen the diorama in person this past weekend, the picture still doesn't do the scene and Jim's craftwork justice. Keep up the good work, Jim!
Thanks folks. I need to get busy on the next module/diorama so that I can connect them and try some very simpe switching moves.
