I got the opportunity to meet Mr Richard Napper years ago when he lived in Wichita. It broke my heart to hear the news when we lost such a wonderful asset to our history of the beloved FRISCO. I was privileged to get a full set of the photos taken of the restoration of the 1522 directly from him which I used to model a Bowser M1 a Mountain into a close match of the philly which I later was forced to part with. A few days ago I received a box from a hobby shop in Topeka which contained 7 of Richards models to which I just wanted to share how honored I am to own these. The detail is top notch and as I study these models I am finding myself still learning from him. I hope this education never ends, nor the memory of a dedicated lover of the FRISCO RAILROAD. These models will always be cherished and well kept and taken care of. however, I only feel it to be right that they pull freight and passenger service on my layout the way Mr. napper would have wanted, sonce that is what they were designed for.
Hey Mike, just wanted to tell you, I just acquired 23 more of Richards engines. Not sure if it was the last of e but it is a fine collection.
