I'm installing a SoundTraxx in my 44-year-old brass model of 811. Which 3-trumpet horn should I chose? Also, was the bell the standard GE bell?
    Thanks, Doug

Doug - As far as the horn part, use the Utah Pacific GE horn. Don't know what to use the get the correct sound.

Doug, Go to Bowser-trains.com web site and click on CalScale, then to deisel parts. They have a good selection of horns. Not sure what 811 had on hood, Leslie S3LR3-3? or was it a Leslie 5 chime ?

I'll use the Leslie 3-chime sound. The ALCO U-25B brass model has a 3-chime casting. I see that my query wasn't specific enough.

Most all of the pictures of 811 show an S3L, so your choice would be appropriate.
