I am putting a few items together, that are surplus if not duplicates, up for sale.
These items will be top notch, with Reboxx wheels, coupler cut bars, wood decking, K-D couplers, custom made accurate decals, hand brake details, and loads where appropriate, tied down, weathered (but not to the point of desegregation). Finishing a couple projects now. I expect to post them here for my Frisco nation friends first.
Then ebay, if they don't sell there, then they will be target practice.

Up first is an Athearn 40' Kit, thats was modified by sanding off a bunch of that crazy under frame they had, it more reflects the Red Caboose 42' flats now.
Accurail trucks and Reboxx 33" wheels were used, (rolls like a dream). K-D couplers. I spent a while at the belt sander removing the cast deck, then Lazer-Kit wood deck was used, all grabs were cut off and metal DA used, DW cut bars, and Tichy brake staff were used too.

The load is a versatile plastic print of an 11ft transformer, it was my first transformer purchase, and lead the designer to make some changes and get better print options. As Steve Hurt has mentioned in other posts, the versatile print is rather gritty, you can see it in the images.

I primed with Tamiya primer, then painted with Oxide red, made up some decals and I always seem to use decals from other sources as well on these projects. Then the wood deck installed and some weathering. I had been wanting to sell this car for a while, and the transformer on this car is just a bit taller than a regular boxcar but not as tall as a high cube, so the height shouldn't be an issue. the transformer was not right for the drop deck car, but seemed great for this car. It is secured to the deck with canopy glue and weathered .019 brass wire, for looks, also wooden blocks were used. It is so grainy though I am not gonna charge what I paid for it. That was a $27.00 education.

All in all a good looking car and load. I am gonna ask $50 dollars for it. Plus USPS PM shipping. We can haggle if you want a bit but I have more than this much into it.
    Anyways thanks fer lookin!

Looks neat Tom, I really like those stick-on decks, they really add to the model. I have used a few of those.
