i just joined the forum.........looking forward to browsing thru it. i was raised around the frisco and have memories dating back to the late 1940s thru present......spent many hours in the lindenwood diesel shop riding around with the hostlers...on all the first generation diesels.........got to know everyone who worked there from 1962 till it closed....but the frisco is still alive in all of us ....Bob Zucco Sullivan, Mo
Bob - Welcome! My son and I spent a lot of time watching the action at Lindenwood in the SLSF days. As a kid, we had family friends in Sullivan who ran a paint store across the street from the tracks. Enjoyed our visits and seeing the F's and GP's come through. Ken (St Louis)
I used to hold my breath going through Sullivan on 1522 because nobody seemed to pay attention to the grade crossing signals and would push their luck.
Going through Sullivan was described as "white knuckle time" in the film "Ozark Country Cab Ride" (Pentrex or Green Frog, I can't remember which). By the way, welcome to the group. Pat Moreland, Union

Some where up by Sullivan, there used to be a cut, that had brick work under it to hold up the ground. When I went by there it was a real neat area. I was told, it was work by the WPA. I may try to model it. I have not seen many places like it. Bill Jackson
