Hi. I don't know how many members here are from England, but it's one more now. I suppose that my main interest is in British railways - I model trains from around Liverpool, where I live, in 2006 (ish) - but I'm generally up for anything that runs on rails. I've always had a soft spot for American passenger trains and that led me to the Memphis Rails website, which in turn led me here when I tried to find out more about the Frisco. I'll probably try my hand at some n-scale models from time to time, but I work very, very slowly, so don't expect too much. I guess I'll mostly be a lurker, but I'm looking forward to learning more about the Frisco.

Jim
From one Jim to another, welcome aboard. We've got some knowledgable people here and I'm sure you'll enjoy your visits to this forum.
Jim, Welcome Aboard. Good to hear from another modeler in the UK. We have had a number of our British brothers interested in the Frisco and several that I can think of that were specifically interested in the part of the Frisco that Jim James and I are modeling; the River Division. In my case, my home town of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Take some time to poke around here and feel free to ask questions; there are plenty of people here willing to share answers.
Hi Jim, You might find Mike Condren's website interesting; It has a wealth of information on Memphis as well as the Frisco: http://condrenrails.com/frisco.html Rich
Jim, welcome and lurk away. For those of us who grew up with the Frisco visible out our front door, it's always wonderful to see those far from Friscoland take up an interest in the railroad. And, you are not alone in the ranks of model railroaders who do their modeling at a very slow pace! Best Regards,
Thanks for the great welcome. Just looking around the site over the last few days, I've found a ton of fascinating stuff! Jim
