    Hello,
My name is Craig Wilson and as a newbie I just thought I would tell everyone about myself.
I fell in love with Frisco about 10 years ago while we lived in Edmond, Oklahoma. One of the gentlemen in our church choir used to run locomotives for the Frisco and I loved talking to him about his past experiences. The more we talked, and the more I read, the more I fell in love with "his railroad".
As you can probably guess from my screen name, I am a pilot for Southwest Airlines. My family (a wife and two kids) and I live just south of Denton, Texas in a small town called Corinth.
In closing, all I can say is that I can't wait to start picking your brains so I can learn even more about this great railroad!

Welcome aboard, Craig. A bit OT but our family is full of SWA fans down to the kids.

Do you have a layout? Tell us all about it if so - otherwise, feel free to start picking away!

    Best Regards,

    Howdy Craig,

Thanks for stopping by. I live in Granbury, not too far from Corinth. We're anxious to hear more about your modeling and look forward to sharing our knowledge and experience with you.

    Travel well,

    Chris,
Yes I do have a layout. It is an HO scale layout set in the Steam-to-Diesel transition era. While it may not be my dream layout, it fits in the only space that I have available, the corner of a spare bedroom.
I have placed two 2' x 8' pieces of particle board that are used for shelves in one corner of the room. The largest part of the 'L' has a yard and part of a small city. The smaller part of the 'L' has 3 industries. While I really don't have a lot of mainline running, I do have plenty of switching opportunities.
At the moment, my layout is in it's infancy. The track is down and most of the structures are also in place. I still have some tweaking to do, but once that is done it will be to get serious with roadbed, ballast, wiring, scenery, etc..

    How'd'y Craig,
I live in Denton. As a matter of fact my Uncle owns Grand Traditions, the wedding chapel behind the Harley-Davidson dealership.

Hugo, Okla. wouldn't be a bad choice for you to model Frisco-wise, b/c it has (or had) several industries along the line. It is now owned by the the RailAmerica Co.'s Kiamichi Railroad, but Hugo is the former Central Div. HQ and the Central crossed the Adrmore-Arkinda Subdivision in the middle of town. For pictures and history of the line, they have a depot museum there. For more info. go to: http://www.friscodepot.org/ |-|
Member norpen is the curator of the museum and his brother Noel is the pres. of the historical society that runs it. I'm a member of the same society.
