Happy 4th of July everyone. If you stop by today please check in and say hello. We get 50 to 80 members on the site almost every day but most people don't post. Please take the time to post today and say hello, especially if you don't normally post.

Happy 4th of July everyone, Take time to read the Declaration of Independence and Constitution today. Both were written in plain English so everyone could understand what was meant without the need for interpretation by lawyers or judges.

And, thank a veteran for his/her service!

Amen to a Happy July 4th to everyone, and to our country!

Keith's suggestion to take a look at our founding documents is a good one. I'll never forget the shiver that went up my spine when I viewed the original Declaration of Independence and Constitution kept in the National Archives in Washington D.C. To see those original signatures, all still faintly visible, on the Declaration ..... wow!

A must visit for every American. Be patient, there is always a long line waiting at the archives. I'll never forget the briefing by the security guards just before you get into the hall ..... "Anybody tries to take a picture of these frail documents will immediately lose their camera, and will face a stiff penalty!". Even the lighting in there is dim to protect the documents on display.

Here's to a Happy and Safe 4th to everone!

And echo what Keith says about the plain english part, we just need to keep the judge and lawyers from re-interpreting what those two documents layout for us!

I will add to the "must read" list. Common Sense by Thomas Pain. Seems that more people these days need to read that.

Sorry I didn't catch this yesterday, but happy 4th to everyone. I had the opportunity to see the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, but I was part of a school group and the line took too long so we got pulled out to go meet our District Representative (boy that was so much funner...........not)

I have been super busy lately so that's why I haven't been posting a lot on a regular basis.
