  1. Hi everybody my name is Todd and I am coming to you from the Quad Cities area( home of the Rock Island!) I am 37 years old and a locomotive engineer.

I was born in beautiful W. Plains Mo. and have lived in Hardy Arkansas ( I have a great grandmother still living there) for a time. I love the line from St Louis to Rolla, and W Plains to Hardy. I used to hang out at the Hardy Library in the Frisco caboose there and loved the old Ship IT on the Frisco! slogan. Didnt matter what it was as long as it got shipped via Frsico.

I am thinking of modeling 1920 era Frisco in that region ( I know I am an odd ball but I am burned out on modern stuff and just like that old time feel, thanks also to Railroad magazine and Railroad stories from those days)Plus it allows me to have a bit of "home" here in Iowa. I am one lost Ozark boy lol.

I got the nickname I am using from one of the engineers that I fired for ( yes fired for on the old C&S you were a fireman not a student and they followed that term religiously!)because as we would come either into Denver or Cheyenne, I would have them rolling right on the advertised and make all possible speed until the very last second where I would need to be getting ready for restricted speed.I used to get conductors that would be white knuckled for those parts of the trip! I learned from some old school rails who were all about moving freight.

Thanks for having this board and all the information here! I have been trolling around and cant believe how much stuff is here!
