Hello everyone. BN modeler here. I currently have a double deck HO switching layout based loosely in FT. Worth Texas in the 1980's. It covers the BN, MP, and CRI&P. I have the frisco colors represented on my layout but unfortunately they are soon to be in the form of patched units. I figure I'll take a beating for that one
Greetings! As a modeler of 1980, I'm not quite sure about all the dates. Rock still running but not Frisco? I know the BN would be involved in your area via the FW&D/C&S. Let us know more about your operations.
A friend of mine is a big cri&p modeler and I'm not a UP fan so I fudged history to fit what I wanted. I decided that the rock island remained profitable and alive and the UP didn't take over the MP. I wanted to represent the Frisco with my layout but just after they were brought into the BN. When I get a larger space I plan to do tower 55 more accurately with all the players, just with my version of history. oh and the rock island didn't go blue...that was a hideous paint scheme.
