Hello everyone: I've been perusing the archive here for years but only just registered on the site. I grew up in West Plains, MO, and I'm just old enough (and my memory is still good enough, I guess) to remember the Frisco colors rolling through the countryside. I really loved the BN green, but those early memories of sitting in the car, waiting at the grade crossing by the old depot watching Frisco Geeps switching local freight can't be beat!! Also, I model in N and Z scales. Looking forward to connecting with other Frisco railfans. Best, Eric
I grew up around an MP branchline in Louisiana that had originally been a Frisco property, until around 1914 when the big B F Yoakum implosion happened. When I was a kid in the 60’s, people up in age in town still called it the Frisco. Took me a long time to figure out why.
