CORP #3818 & #3819 GP38-2 diesels working in Washington are painted O&W. Can anyone varify that these two GP38-2's are EX Frisco?

Richard, I don't know but from what I can find the paint scheme is the same but two things stick out: 1. no divit from a gyro light (I know they could fix it to original) 2. From the info from rrpicturearchives.net 3818 is ex CNW.

In the early 90's, I was riddin my old Harley down towards New Mexico, over La Veta pass headed to Trinidad when I saw a couple O/W Colorado & Wyoming GP38-2's, coupled next to a few Oakway SD60's up at a Colorado Fuel and Iron (CF&I) coal mine. Well, I near ran off the road thinking the same thing, that these were Frisco engines.
It is my understanding the C&W ordered these around the same time as the Frisco did, but with shorter fuel tanks and a couple other different options. But as Steve indicated these are not Frisco. C&W still operates in and around the Pueblo CF&I plant, but not much else. They were sure a site to see at the time.
