Jerry: Go to Memphis Terminal Operations. "Birmingham" shows up quite a bit in the late 1950s on Trains 106/107, the "KC-Florida Special." I know that this train ran onto Florida via SOU. I'll not make any more assumptions than this, as I'm not very familiar with this train's operations. Ken, if you're out there, I'd love to hear more about the diner-lounge cars and their routing.
Jerry: I also realized that Doug Hughes has posted a drawing of "Birmingham" to the Cafe-Lounge section. This lists it as #1509.
Re: Passenger Equipment - Meteor I would like to model the Meteor, but do not know anything about the equipment. Can someone point me in the right direction, please? I am looking for drawings of the passenger cars and colors. Is 'Zephyr Blue' close to Navy? Were the stripes white? Was the lettering silver or white? Thanks, Jim
Re: Passenger Equipment Attached is Frisco Bulletin No. 1 announcing the start of Meteor service including a consist list. The material also includes some color images of the exterior and interior but includes only the engines.
