I recently purchased a copy of Joseph A. Strapac's book Cotton Belt Locomotives and found an interesting detail on page 7:

Would I be correct in assuming this agreement was only for traffic from Texas points via. Sherman, as the Frisco had a traffic agreement with the Santa Fe for traffic to California points via. Avard?

I'm pretty sure Southern Pacific had a similar agreement with the Rock Island regarding the Golden State Route.

    Karl,

Thanks for sharing. Seems my assumption about the Frisco-Southern Pacific agreement pertaining to Texas and not California traffic was correct.
