SLSF 5300-5315, ALCo FB-1 FB-1s SLSF 5300-5311 were repowered by EMD with the reliable 567 engine in 1955-1957. Reference Frisco Diesel Power, Marre & Harper. FB-1s SLSF 5312-5315 were not repowered and kept their ALCo 244 engine over their entire service life. The non-repowered FA-1s and FB-1s were the first to be traded in. Ken
Tom, Thanks. I wanted to post these - the diesels of MY Frisco. Black and yellow freight locomotives, red and gold "Racehorse" passenger locomotives, and the sound of multiple 567s chanting in unison as they grind their way up Rolla Hill in the Fall. It was real fun! Ken
