I finally had my copy of the "Frisco Meteors" framed and hung up above my desk. I don't have a layout any more, and I haven't built any models to speak of since we moved to Florida (most of my model time is spent repairing some of my favorite models I kept out of our estate sale but suffered from the bouncing around some truck during the move down here in the moving van. I'm down to just a few left now, but they are the serious cases. My Rock Island P2K E6 really took a beating, as did my PRR S-1. Anyway, I really like the way the new picture looks - it replaced the one I have had hanging in my offices for many years - "The Meteor", with the close up of SLSF 2013 Sea Biscuit under the StL Union Station train shed. I still love that one; my plan is to rotate them every few months. I took a pic of how "Frisco Meteors" looks, and arranged a few of my favorite models on the shelf that is just above my desk. A good reminder of the fun I had with my Frisco hobby. Note not all the locomotives are Frisco - I felt compelled to include "The Diesel that did it" in this mini-display (EMC FT). The desk, a built in, has a tall bookshelf on each side. I'll likely alternate models between the models shown and other favorites also. I have more Frisco stuff and some GM&O I will use. Ken Bottom line - I like the way it looks so I took a picture! Here 'tis:
I should have taken a bigger pic. BTW, I just love the "Frisco Meteors" art! K ps - I have a FT-B unit to go with the demo FT-A. Gotta get going on that one. The FT A-B-B-A set did demo on the Frisco. There is a somewhat poor pic of them at Newburg on the Eastern Division.
