Frisco Meteor Heritage ES44C4

  1. I don't really know how to get the images to show up large. Anyway here is the Frisco Meteor Heritage ES44 I started two years ago. I couldn't get the blue I wanted and I when I did I managed to create my fantasy Traverse City Southern Railroad paint scheme. I finally finished what I started and I think it turned out quite nice :D

There is something about the Meteor ES44AC that works. The blue could use adjustment in color depth. It might be a worthwhile re-skin for your V-scale project or one full-size for BNSF if they ever go the "Heritage Paint Scheme" route that NS did.

  3. I don't reskin anything for trainz or msts or anything as it never turns out right but when I think of a scheme I like I use Microsoft paint to do it up. What do you mean by color depth adjustment? Wrong blue or something else? I know its not a perfect match but I took a picture of 4500's tender and pasted it to the mid hood section and used the color picker to select what I used. The lighting in the photo made the white-ish stripe almost blue so I did alter that some. Thanks for the input! I think if any other railroad did Heritage BNSF would. Rumor has it CSX declined, and I doubt CN/CP will ever do anything with Heritage paint although I'd love a Wisconsin Central Heritage loco such as this one =D I grew up watching GT motive power in lower Michigan and WC SD45s at my grandparent's and then home (when I turned 6) in the Upper Peninsula wisconsin central ES44.jpg As for now I am hoping I win the lotto or something to get 4500 or 4501 steaming again
