    Hello Frisco Fans,

My name is Brian McCullough and I live in amarillo, TX. I was raised in Kansas City and my relatives living in the Monett/Springfield area made sure I knew the Frisco from an early age. My grandfather and two uncles worked for the Frisco. My grandfather was a steam locomotive engineer and spent many a year making the passenger run from Springfield to Ft. Smith. One of my uncles was still working as a road foreman at the time of the BN merger.

Not to be left out, my father never did work for the Frisco, but was one of the earliest members of FMIG.

11 years ago I began to have eye problems and switched over from HO modeling to Lionel. I would say I do more collecting anymore than modeling. Frisco equipment from Lionel has never been very accurate, but it is fun to run. The little boy never leaves some of us.

I have a good bit of Frisco memorabilia and expect to inherit a good bit more from my father some day. One can never have enough.

Welcome Aboard, Brian! I live in KC and my wife was born in Monett. Her father sorted mail on Frisco RPOs from Monett to St Louis. Glad to have you here. If you have Frisco materials that can be scanned and shared, by all means do so in order to preserve it.

Brian, welcome to the group. That Monett-Ft. Smith run (Trains 709/710, I think?) would have been a pretty run to make in a steam locomotive. My personal thanks to your Dad and all the other earliest FMIG members who had the foresight to start such an endeavor. Enjoy the perusing the site.

    Best Regards,
