Here is a nice Frisco covered hopper to add to your freight car roster. This is Intermountain #48609-03, a 2-bay, 1958 cu ft LO class car. This is unused, mint, in its original box. Road number is SLSF 83907, build date is March, 1950. Black color, white lettering and Frisco coonskin logo. Car has all the usual IRC extras - nice trucks, metal wheels, brake line hoses, Kadee compatible couplers, nice brake wheel, fine grabs, lots of bottom detail. Intermountain makes a nice car. These two-bay LO's, no doubt from Pullman Standard, were used for shipment of glass sand, bulk chemicals, cement, and other fine industrial materials. Bowser also offered this car - this IRC version has better detail, in particular the lettering and logo. Model cost was something around $30.
