F9A SLSF "814" - Faux Frisco Paint Locomotive At Oklahoma Railway Museum (ORM) - Oklahoma City, OK

Discussion in 'F9' started by Karl Stevenson, Dec 27, 2018.

  1. Frisco painted F9A at the Oklahoma Railway Museum.

It is former BN, nee NP. It kept its BN 814 number when put in Frisco paint.

It may receive a SLSF number or likely go into BN paint as is not a real Frisco unit.

The museum is negotiating for an actual ex Frisco locomotive in the near future, Baldwin/EMD hybrid VO1000m SLSF 206.

  4. Going to have to do radiators on our CF7 ATSF 2572 as well.

  5. I have run SLSF 814 and ATSF 2572 together in multiple unit a couple of times.

SLSF 814 nose faces south and ATSF 2572 nose faces north. Looked like mini Frisco-ATSF run through with units from both roads tied together, although they are F9A and CF7 so most likely never coexisted other than when CF7 was still an F unit and highly doubtful ever together at any time previously.

  6. Well they may have crossed paths somewhere since 814 was a BN (ex NP) unit but doubtful, although like 007, never say never again.
