Round Frisco Coonskin Doorknob - Inquiry

    Howdy. The attached photo is an iron doorknob from the 1880s or 1890s that has the Frisco logo.

    I'm guessing it was used in a prominent depot somewhere along the line, as the cost to make these custom knobs required a quantity be ordered. The seller was from St. Louis but did not know the origin.

    Might any of y'all have info about where this knob was used?

    There is a different iron knob that was used in the Frisco office building in St. Louis, which did not use the logo.

    Their probably, was several places, but Vinita, Ok had a set similar. I always wanted it, too bad you don't have the whole assembly, it was very neat. The one at Vinita was Brass, said St Louis San Fransisco.
