    Hello All,

Before I tear what's left of my hair out...

I've decided I'm going to build an airplane model, and It's going to be the Frisco's DC-3 in as close to N-scale as I can manage (there are inexpensive 1:144 models of DC-3s. There aren't any inexpensive near n-scale models of the later Gulfstream 1).

Getting ready for this project, I'm looking for photos. I found one in Morning Sun's Burlington Northern in Color Volume 3 by Jim Boyd, but I'm pretty sure I have seen other photos of the plane, I just can't remember where. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Paul

Interesting, the cover of that issue misidentifies the aircraft. The cover picture is an Aero Commander, rather than a Beechcraft. The article on page 2 indicates the Aero Commander was the first Frisco aircraft (leased) in 1963; they then purchased a larger 5 passenger twin (Beechcraft - possibly a King Air which would have been larger than the Aero Commander) before moving on to the DC-3 and G-1. The Frisco aircraft on the cover (N6191X) was destroyed in a crash after takeoff from Van Nuys, CA, in 1973.
