    Neat photo, Ken; thx for sharing. Are those KCFS&M reporting marks? Not too many photos I've seen of Yoakum's Frisco System with reporting marks other than the SL&SF.

    Looks like KCFS&M to me - between the end markings and the markings above the side number, I think I can make out each letter.

    The SLSF shipped reasonable amounts of coal and other heavy materials, but always in two bay hoppers, until later on when they got into the unit train coal movements, when they had several series of modern 100-ton multi-bay coal hoppers in use. Any ideas why they stuck with ACF and PS two-bays so long?

    Among my favorite pieces of rolling stock is my Westerfield Frisco wood coal gondola. Beautiful kit for us early era modelers. Thanks for posting the pic.

    reporting mark on the Frisco gondola likely matches of the below history dates
    of the KCFS&M and the Frisco.

    The Frisco buys off the remaining shares of KCFS&M stock by 1926 of the
