Railway Age reported that as of June 1, 1928, Frisco was operating a single bus route using one vehicle, the route extending 5 miles from Fort Smith to "Shops." This operation seems to predate the Frisco Transportation Company operations in other locations. It is not believed to be an employee bus running to the Frisco roundhouse in Fort Smith, because those shops were only one mile from Frisco's Fort Smith station.
