Agree, a third volume wold be great. If any of the slides I have just donated could play a role, I would be delighted.

I am assuming Ken's reference to a "third volume" has to do with the possibility of a "Frisco in Color, Vol. 3" from Morning Sun. Here is where I think we are with this. At present I have something in excess of 2,000 slides that have come to me by way of the Archive. However, as regular followers of the Archive postings likely realize, the overwhelming majority of these are O&W roster shots, with a few B&Y and some passenger shots. Almost none are action photos, i.e., trains out on the road. Ken (a really good guy, by the way; we had a nice discussion when I visited him last week) also refers to the slides he donated, and he did hand over another 800 images that I have not yet had time to catalog, so there may be something there. Please be mindful, regardless, that we cannot use any material that originated with Al Chione, Mike Bledsoe, Trackside Slides, Blackhawk Slides or any other commercial seller as they are already copyrighted and therefore not in the public domain. Additionally, even if you have bought an original slide from someone, the publication rights to that slide do not automatically accompany that purchase unless specifically granted. That said, I will try to make time to go through all the slides sitting on my shelf and see whether I can find 250 that we can use for a "Volume 3."

In that same vein, I am also looking for PASSENGER images of Missouri Pacific trains for a project I have recently undertaken, and if it is not heretical to have MP and Frisco slides in the same collection, if you have MP slides and would like to see them in a published volume, please consider lending them to this project. They will be returned to you in their original mounts and undamaged, so do please give it some thought.

Greg and I did have a nice discussion last Friday when he dropped by the house. Nice fellow - we had met only briefly before at various meetings (TRRA I think), and on frisco.org chats, but I didn't know him well. We didn't solve any world problems (many) or frisco.org problems (few), but I learned some added things about him that I really liked: he's a Kansas Jayhawk, and he likes and drives an Audi. Wow, first class!

Greg also has a Porsche, something he has in common with my brother in Cape, who is also Greg's mailman. I second Ken's assessment; Greg is a great fellow railfan and Frisco modeler.

    Keith,
Take a look at the FRISCO spreadsheet I posted in the swap meet thread. I don't know what the Frisco Archive is but I would be willing to donate that stuff . I have some more stuff that needs to be added, including 3 or 4 pieces of the generic Dining Car china.

The Frisco Archive is a repository of images, photographic and scanned. Any of the paper diagrams, schematics, or timetables are possible additions to the Archive or for posting on the forum in the correct location. I have access to a wide format scanner that could handle any large drawings and could get them posted on the forum. I have scanned timetables and track charts and have posted them on the forum in the past.

    Keith,

I don't want to post the paper items I have. The need to go to someone who can preserve them. As I said I have lost interest.

David, they could be donated to the Greene County public library Local History collection in Springfield, Mo, however the best way to preserve them is to digitize them and post on this forum. Paper is subject to damage, decay and destruction. At least the Greene County public library has a policy of scanning documents and publishing them on their websites.
