Frisco.org members, In the Group section of the site I have created a new private group called Frisco Acquisitions Club. The group is private in that only members of the group may see the messages posted in the group. Anyone that wishes to be in the group need only send me a private message in order to be invited to the group. In the past couple of months I have posted on two occasions about the opportunity to acquire slide collections. We were successful at one endeavor and failed at the other. Both times I asked people to make small donations and both times that happened. This group is for people who are interested in being a part of a group of people who will team up financially (often with $10 or so) in order to make purchases of slides or documents that can be added to the site. If you ask to join the group you will essentially be volunteering to throw $10 (or whatever) into the hat now and then if something is out there that we can acquire. It doesn't mean that you are on the hook for any particular amount of money, just that you are like-minded in wanting to be part of making the site better and can throw a few bucks in here or there in order to boost the content of the site.
