    That could possibly be my Dad as engineer on that.

    He was in service until Jan of 1964 when he died in an auto accident. He had been in regular passenger service for a few years then.

    Well, okay, this is the WILL ROGERS (or else the OKLAHOMAN). The second unit has the simplified "cigar band" livery, which, according to Lou Marre (and I would take his word as gospel) began being applied in 1965. Perhaps this will help date the photo.
