First, thanks to Mike for the work he put into this site.

Check out the 1522 web site (Frisco1522.org) for updates on how the 1522 is doing on her BNSF EAS trips. So far, all seems to have gone well and the 1522 is as impressive as ever!

I know this isnt Frisco relaited, but years ago we ferroequinologists could obtain train recordings. When I ask the pink spike haired, tatooed and pierced kids behind the counter at the CD store they are totally lost. Is there a source for CD's of trains. I checked Walthers and could only find one. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Dwain

After searching on Google for Frisco information, I found an old site for the Frisco Museum in Springfield. There was a listing of books and track diagrams that were available from the museum. Now since I am new to this list and to modeling the Frisco. I need some of the information that was in those books. Does anyone know who has the books that were not sold? Or where I might obtain copies of these books?

It seems odd to me that all of the archive material and other paper, just disappeared. I can understand the rolling stock being sold. But the archives material should have bee donated to the Springfield Historical Society or Librairy.

Anyone have an e-mail address for Joe Pennington? Or could someone
ask him to contact me off list.

    Thanks,

    Hello all,
I grew up in Springfield Mo and as a boy in the early 50s, frequently rode the Frisco rails to Kansas City with my family. I remember we left from the Springfield depot located somewhere near the public square. I believe the depot is no more but I would like to revisit its site if someone knows the address where it used to be located.
Any help would be appreciated as this holds dear memories of my past.
    Thanks
    J

    Jerry,
The Springfield depot is long gone. It was a couple of blocks west of the Square off College. Turn north down the hill (on Water Steet?). The big open space on the left just before the tracks is what you are looking for, rather where you are looking for.
You and I may be comtemporaries. I also grew up in Springfield in the early 50's.
