I would be interested, Bob. Sad as the photo is, there's already some pretty good detail in these. It looks like maybe the water tank/battery boxes are what are lying on the ground in photo "10?"

    Best Regards,

Unfortunately the number (105648) is not the original number, but the number given to the care when it entered MOW service. However, looking at the bottom of the car I can find no vestibule steps but what looks like grab irons which indicate it was either a baggage car or mail car. If some one has an equipment register they could probably trace the car.
Very interesting photos of the bottom of this car.
    Thanks, Jerome-OKC

105648 was converted from Baggage Mail Car 208 during March 66. Car 208 was the single 200 series car that was painted in the Red and Silver scheme, possibly to replace lightweight Baggage mail 250, named Rock Hill, in Texas Special service. Number 250 was listed as "Destroyed on the MKT 12-12-53". It sure looks like there's red showing around the upper doorway and diaphragm on this shot. http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?attachments/105648-strafford-mo-6-85-1-by-bob-dye-jpg.19056/
