Tom - There was a set of roller bearings for the Athearn HO SW1500 that looked pretty good. Don't remember if they were just the roller bearing caps for the truck, or a new set of side frames for the SW1500 truck. Remember using them quite successfully. Don't remember who the producer was. I also have an unopened pack of Train Station Products #122, a set of GE locomotive truck roller bearings for the journals that might be of use on other cars and locos. There are eight bearing journals in the pack, $3.95. Bought them at Tinkertown several years ago. Wow, are they missed in StL! K
Thanks My friend.. We are talking about a 3 axle truck (6 axles over all), for a freight car, a GSC drop center HD flat SL-SF 390o. A unique SL-SF HD flat, that was a kit for many different RR's. That paid for itself many, many times. TDH
Hey John, if you have any I can mold and cast them for you. Between Mike printing or casting existing ones we should be able to get you set up.
The Train Station Products set I mentioned above is just a set of eight roller bearing truck journal caps, not a set of roller bearing trucks. Just FYI! K
