OR, How about a nice 4-6-0 or better yet, a 2-8-0 for us folks who do not have 63" radius track?

It's irksome to me that a buyer of one of those Glacier Park beauties was just profiteering on their rarity! He ought to be running it on his FRISCO layout!

I think I'll just keep running my cheap $40 2-8-2 Frisco Mikado I got from IHC at a train show table and let the rest of you guys bid on the brass stuff. $2,000 is a little rich for my taste:eek:

I have a Hallmark Meteor 14-4 sleeper that I bought many years ago at Bobbye Hall's hobby shop in Dallas. It was all they had at the time, the sets having long since been sold out. I now have the complete Overland set and really don't have any need for this single Hallmark car.

Nothing has been done to it other than to have the name "Osage River" applied. I have no idea what I paid for it, but to a Frisco.org member I would let it go for $50 plus postage which is probably about what I paid and, I think, significantly below what they are fetching on ebay.

If you are interested, email me directly at gbmott@comcast.net. Earliest "postmark" gets it.

Speaking of eBay ..... any of you frisco.org folks going to grab the Frisco locomotive cab seat listed on eBay for only $12,500?

I thought about it, but decided to pass - figured it wouldn't go well in our family room. ;)

I have one that is almost identical to the one at Ebay. The exception is there is no coonskin embossed in the back but there is a coonskin embossed in the seat. I would let mine go for a measley $6,000 :D (There is no emoticon for "tongue-in-cheek" is there?). April 1 comes early this year but I really do have a locomotive seat.

In all seriousness, I bought mine at a show in Springfield about 15 years ago for $25. The owner of the one listed on EBay apparently doesn't know the value of the seat, the value of money, the intelligence of this audience, etc. I have seen things like this list on Ebay and sit and sit and sit and sit . . .

Maybe he "fat fingered" the digits and meant to say $125!

  10. Wow Thanks Gordon,

I recieved the 14-4 Pullman car for the Meteor in the mail today. I wasn't sure what it was at first when I dug the box out of the snow. It snowed bad enough that my school Alma High School had to close:). but here is the dark side of things. The school's Winter Drumline was going to have a competition tomorrow in Adair, OK. Which has like 7'' of snow so it was cancelled and moved back to Feb. 27th the day of the Bentonville train show. So I can't make that. At least now thanks to Gordon Mott I have a new brass Sleeper car for my Meteor trainset. I'll try to post some photos later on. I got a new digital Camera for Christmas. About time I try it out too. I hope some of you guys are enjoying the snow day too.
    Ship it on the Frisco!!!

Your response is worth more to me than any money might have been. Enjoy it and someday you can pass it on too.

Ya, and I got it!:) It is on the way to Cedar Hill. He does have another one to sell.
On another note, I went to the train show today in St. Charles. The large scale equipment was everywhere, good for me! But my best finds were books. The MKT/Frisco car book, and the TRRA edition on the Texas Special. Some of the best color photography on the Frisco I have seen, many shots I had never seen before. If anyone is in the area, it is still on for tomorrow [ Sunday ], and well worth the $7 price.
