I know it's not Frisco equipment but apparently the flood has closed the old Wabash line that belongs to the NS as I saw a triple crown train headed west through Rolla this morning. Like I said I know it's not Frisco, but it's still neat to see road/railer trailers on the old eastern divison.

  2. From MSNBC, May 10, 2007: "The most recent levee break occurred Thursday afternoon between the towns of DeWitt and Brunswick, spilling Missouri River water on farmland, slowing traffic on U.S. 24 and damaging railroad tracks....." This is, as you said, the ex-Wabash NS.

If NS traffic's being diverted over the ex-SLSF, it might improve the trainchasing along the former Eastern Division for the duration. However, I'll defer to other's understanding of exactly how the traffic routing is likely to work out.
