  2. Looks like when they were colorizing the photo they never really finished.

Incomplete colorization process, or the one doing the colorizing is unfamiliar with the Frisco.

The EA-7 in the photo was just 30-60 days from her rebuild into an E-8 look alike. I am very skeptical that her pilot and anti-climber were painted black.

Remember, this is one of Richard Crabtree’s colorization efforts, and what you see is not “fact”.

The colors around the Frisco, numbers, and coonskin are off too….

That's what happens using many of the auto-colorization programs. Now some nimnul on Facebook will copy that image and use as proof that the pilot was black at some point in time. Or worse, some manufacturer may latch on to that image as a production sample.

That's a good pic of 2002 as an E7 in spite of the bogus paint. Would like to see the unaltered version of this pic.

I believe 2002 Comanche was the subject in the Frisco painting diagram describing the revised "Racehorse/Red Bird" (whichever you prefer!) paint scheme to blend the 6 E7's in with the 17 new E8's.

Incomplete and sloppy. Missed the gold paint around the portholes, and slipshod around the cab door and grabs, and no red paint between the individual cat whiskers. Quoting Pap Finn, the Paint Shop must've had "enough whisky there for two drunks and one delirium tremens" before that paint job.

Yeah, like a lot of stuff that Richard posts on Facebook. He also does not really like people to offer "corrections" or critique to his posts, although he seems to tolerate Karl.
Also, I think he should disclose when he colorizes a photo and posts it.

Now that made me smile... I have served time in his FB jail, and I have had my posts deleted.

He had similar reactions when he used to post here… but that had more to do with flagging copyright violations.
