I have come across this note in timetables starting about 1948, which implies that the Frisco moved out of the MKT/Denison Union Station and starting using a station of its own.

However, I cannot seem to find any more details about it.

Does anyone know where it was located?

Denison Union Station depot was owned by the Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) Railroad.

It was also used by the Frisco (SLSF), Houston and Texas Central (H&TC) / Southern Pacific (SP), Kansas, Oklahoma and Gulf (KO&G) and Texas Pacific (TP) / Missouri Pacific (MP). As passenger demand waned, train operations declined, so trains were reduced or eliminated.

The other railroads gradually discontinued passenger service to the city. As they did so, each left the Denison Union Station depot. Ultimately these other lines abandoned their freight routes also.

In the case of the Frisco, to reduce its expenses they moved their remaining passenger operations to their freight house. The Frisco freight house and later combination depot was located to the east just across the tracks.

The freight house, and later combined depot, was located at 301 East Main Street, Denison, TX 75021.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
