Please see the following link for a view of one of the removed diamond crossings at Harrisonville, MO

This is one of the 2 Frisco diamonds that crossed the Missouri Pacific (MP) Railroad at this point. For the Frisco this location is the M.P. Crossing on the Clinton Subdivision, mile post 44.8. The former Harrisonville, MO depot was located 0.4 miles to the east.

For the Missouri Pacific this was the SL-SF Crossing on their Carthage Subdivision at mile post 258.8. On the MoP this line ran from Pleasant Hill, MO to Cotter, AR.

This view is looking southwest down the former stub end industrial tracks (KCCS). This was the first of the diamonds to be removed as the branch was slowly abandoned at this point. The photograph is dated 3/1988.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
