Just got a new (2015) book from Kalmbach: "Freight Cars of the 40's and 50's." Nice concise manual of the subject, including a terrific bibliography, mostly modeling magazine articles, but some books too. Great coverage of the "Transition Era" that most of us model. 95 pages, soft cover. Tom G.
