    Hello,

A newbie here. I found something and was wanting to see if anyone else had ever seen such a thing. It is an 8 oz. tin can that says
    WATER FOR DRINKING
    PACKED FOR ST. LOUIS-SAN FRANCISCO
    RAILWAY CO.
    SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI 65802

Has anyone ever seen on of these cans of water before?

    Thanks,
    Leith :)

Absolutely, the canned water was provided on trains for the crews before bottled water was readily available. I still have some cans around somewhere from the 70s.

    Thanks Brett,

There are some numbers stamped on the bottom ending in 65 which I thought may have been when it was canned. Would that sound about right to you mid to late 60's into the '70's?
