I took these photos yesterday. I believe this would have been Bolivar Wood Products by Karl's posted notes. http://www.frisco.org/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=4453&d=1173583013 Today it is Hawk Fertilizer. Could anyone confirm this? I have additional photos I can post but I wanted to be sure about the original structure first.
You are correct. That is Bolivar Wood Products. In a previous life it was Beacon Milling. You can see the quonset building lettered Beacon Milling and Nutrena Feed in the far left of this photo. http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/bolivar-mo.377/ Dale Rush Carthage, MO
Another great photo Dale! Do you know the approximate date of the photo? edit: Just realized 1946 was in file name...
Neat stuff, guys. Beacon Milling gives me another on-line industry to add to my 1940s-ish list. Best Regards,
Sorry, I cannot take credit for posting or taking the photo. It was already on the site posted by frisco1522 whom I believe is Don Wirth from the St Louis area. Dale Rush
The train picture that Dale posted has the "usual" consist for the highline train: A 15' RPO-baggage + coach + this day a business car, pulled by steam power. Tom
