Cordz-Fischer Lumber Co., Birch Tree, Missouri I recently acquired this old cabinet card photograph of the Cordez-Fisher Lumber Company No. 3, the "Euphemia", at Birch Tree, MO. Locomotive is a bit squatty. I can read the Baldwin builder number with a magnifying glass, 14854. Connection with the Memphis Road was the company's means of shipping lumber out of Shannon County. The lumber operation was in business from 1888 until 1904. Jeff
Now that is a seldom modeled area. My grandparents lived along the Current River Branch in Winona, MO for 7 years. Beautiful scenery! It would make for a cool logging diorama or small switching shelf layout.
