    Here it tis,
Been working on this off and on for a few months the bleed rod under the sill turns the marker lights off, or on, to either end depending on which side you push the rod towards.
Started with a Walthers Caboose filled in the side windows, sanded , puttied and sanded a few times. Installed the brake rigging. Made the truck generator out of some detail parts I cut and glued together, scratch built the battery box. Plano coupler cut bars. and a brass stack. Not the best work I have ever done. Made the windows to fit, from clear Styrene. I dont care for the sewer pipe handrails, and they are made from rather brittle plastic, and easily broken. But I am glad I have it.:) The marker light looks brighter on the photo, I think due to exposure time.
    Thanks for looking.

Will try to embed but might need some help with that, till I get a clue.

That is great! You really worked hard and ended up with a first prize model. Love the lighting situation and attention to detail. Wish I had the patience for such clean modeling. Hats off to you!

    Tom,

It looks fabulous. Very impressive. I've been spending my spare time lately (in engine school now, so hardly any) on gathering data to make drawings of these cabooses, which will ultimately lead to a model. I love what you have done and hope my efforts lead to something half as nice as you've achieved.

Hang in with the engine class Brother. Had an old head tell me "you got the rest of your career to learn how to run an engine". But "you got to get your card first". He taught me to stretch brake, power break and all that. But you can't get your card doing that nowadays especially on that miserable "Stimulator". Just do it how they are telling you. Are you at overload park? Like I say hang in there, PM me if you want too. If I can do it, you can do it. I know you will be fine.

Thanks, Tom. Yes, I'm at OP. I've gotten a lot of good advice from the old heads I run with back home (and I hear them echoing in my head every time I screw up!). Like you say, I'll do what I need to do to get the card. It's definitely making me a better conductor and switchman for the times I can't hold in the future. It took awhile to get good at switching on the ground, even though I picked up on it fast. I expect it will take a long time to get good at running likewise, even if I'm getting it quickly in class. I have 30 years to figure it out anyway!
