Atlas USRA Double Sheathed QA&P Boxcar We have waited a long time for a commercial manufacturer to release a N Scale model bearing the Quanah, Acme & Pacific road name. To our knowledge, there has never been a model released in this Frisco subsidiary road name. The battle has been won by the Atlas Model Railroad Company. Atlas’ promotional language: The original USRA (United States Railway Administration) design boxcars date from World War I when car designs began to be standardized. The double sheathed version was the first widely accepted 40-foot steel underframe boxcars placed in service. Some 24,500 cars were delivered to 24 different railroads throughout the country.
