Seen 3 of these just posted on ebay. I think these are 06, but not sure how these performed? William Jackson
Well no bites. Question is: Do some of you have these? How do you like them? I know there may be better set up's But? William Jackson
Bill, I have N scale ones which are okay. I know I've seen them on HO layouts, but can't remember whose. Rick's modern period? Some of the members must be running them.
I had another guy sent me a PM, and he said he liked the unit. There's 3 on ebay, so I was thinking of bidding on maybe 2 of them. Kinda hard to figure, with new stuff coming out all the time. Most of it is just hands down way better than the older stuff. I bought two of the BLI EMD SW-7's and they are really nice. Some on the site would like better sound, but it sounds pretty close to me. The unit throttles up and down by itself, which takes a little getting use to. Over all, really nice William Jackson
I have three of them. Use them to switch my Frisco yard and the East and West Bottom areas of my layout. They run very well. I highly recommend them. Mine are HO Scale. Bob Wintle MMR 419.
I too have three, one with factory sound. The other two are Digitrax DCC equipped. They perfrom as well as all Atlas products and as far as I'm concerned the color is spot on. I highly recommend these units
Bill - Good luck. I only have one, SLSF 364, DC only, HO, runs like a Swiss watch and looks great. I agree with the others - the red/orange color is dead on. Atlas has done the best of any of the manufacturers in getting the correct color, though others are getting close. I pair it sometimes with my Atlas B30-7 (SLSF 866). Not real prototypical, but an awesome looking set! Ken
I also have one, great engine. Beware, if you run DCC and go to put a decoder in there is not a lot of room. I had to clip off the top of the pins on a NCE D14SR to make it fit in there. Ethan
Thanks, both the ones I bid are DCC and Sound. I don't think I would attempt a install on these, their way over my head. William Jackson
