Put a new log load (Chooch) in the Atlas SLSF pulp wood car and accented it up a bit to look more like logs.

Ken, nice weathering on it. I got a couple of the same loads, but for an Athearn car instead of atlas. Did you have to cut a notch in yours? I had to notch mine to make it set in there correctly. It was easily achieved with a dremel and a cut off wheel.

Wow Ken that is a great weathering job on the load. Mind telling us what your process is for weathering the wood?
    Thanks for posting the picture

Ethan - No, I did not need to cut a notch in the load, but I did need to sand the ends to shorten it a bit as it fit the car too tightly.

Tom - Thanks. I thought it came out looking pretty good, better than the load in the RI car (Athearn) just to the right of it that I did a few years ago. I just dry brushed (really damp brushed!) several shades of tan, yellow, brown and black on to the logs until I thought they looked right. The natural Chooch color is close to the cut end log color, so that was not too difficult just to bring out some detail.
