Atlas RS-2 in N scale is showing as available: Example: https://www.modeltrainstuff.com/sea...stom_roadname:St.$2520Louis-San$2520Francisco Anyone have one? What are options for user-installed DCC/Sound if you get the DC version? -Bob T.
I have not done an N scale locomotive and I am not going to start. I am not pleased with the quality of sound due to size constraints; it's practically whimsical.
Good thing huh? You might have to mark-up again LOL. Oh yea, just a info, if you mark up, you stand for a 0230 call.
Well, technically, Kato made an excellent RS-2 in HO that can still be found at an acceptable price range... but then 'ya gotta' paint n' decal it. I seem to be having trouble motivating myself for the "paint n' decal" part. Loved those 0230 calls. (NOT!)
I don’t ( yet ) have one from this run, but I do have two from the original Life-Like runs. Spookshow says the chassis is the same as the Life-Like version. http://www.spookshow.net/loco/llrs2.html so, any decoder that fits the Life-Like version( or the Kato version ) should fit without a problem. It just kills me that I can buy a factory painted RS-2 in every number on the Frisco roster except the 554, and yet I still can't have a high short hood U25B... JFM
